Cindra Cleansing Shampoo – Show-Ring Clean, No Residue

By Tasha Mesina, Cindra Grooming Products

Every good show groom starts with a clean coat — not just visibly clean, but actually clean at the skin, with nothing left behind to interfere with texturizing or conditioning. That's the whole job of Cindra Cleansing Shampoo: strip away buildup, product residue, and oil without stripping the coat's natural texture in the process.

I built this formula pH-balanced specifically because show coats go through a lot — sprays, gels, chalk, repeated handling — and a shampoo that's too harsh just trades one problem for another. You end up with a coat that's technically clean but dry, flyaway, and hard to work with under the lights.

What Makes It a Show-Ring Shampoo

Cleansing Shampoo is designed to rinse completely clean — no film, no residue, no lingering slip that interferes with the next step. That matters more in the ring than people realize: any residue left behind changes how texturizing sprays and volumizing products perform on top of it.

It works on drop, wire, and double coats alike. I use it as the reset step before Texturizing Shampoo or Moisturizing Shampoo — cleansing and texturizing aren't substitutes for each other, they're two steps in the same routine, and most handlers I know run them together on show weekends.

How I Use It

  1. Dilute up to 10:1 for a deep, gentle clean.
  2. Work into a wet coat and lather thoroughly, working to the skin.
  3. Rinse completely — this is the step people rush, and it's the one that matters most.
  4. Follow with your finishing product of choice.

For double-coated or oily breeds, I'll often run it twice — the second wash is where you actually feel the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this on sensitive skin?

Yes. It's pH-balanced and gentle enough for routine use, even on dogs with mild sensitivities.

Will it strip natural oils?

No — that's the point. It cleans deep without leaving the coat feeling dry or stripped, which is what sets up a good texturizing or conditioning step afterward.

How often can I use it on a show dog?

Weekly is fine for show prep. Pair it with Texturizing or Moisture Plus depending on what the coat needs that week.
