Directions

Apply to clean wet coat. Can be used at any dilution up to full strength. If mixing, mix with warm/hot water and mix in a shaker bottle. 

Wait 5-10 minutes and rinse. Effects in coats last three weeks.

Avoid getting in eyes. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water. For external use only.

Got Shed?

I have used the Reconstructor to de-shed a Husky/Malamute with the closed-open-closed method. Effective and efficient. I had a little bit of an issue diluting to a smooth consistency, but my water is very hard and loaded with minerals, I spent a little more time ensuring no product was left in the coat. I think if I use a whisk/frother I will not have an issue. What I really did like- the coat did not soften after the dog was dried.

Excellent Conditioner

I've used Reconstructor for must be 20 years (?) on my Australian Terriers, and now my Smooth Collie. I've had Aussies since 1998 (still do) and a Smooth Collie since 2020. I'm showing just the Collie, Paige, and this conditioner works excellent for both Collie (Smooth) and Aussies (broken-coat/hand-stripped.) These are the only dogs I show and have used it on. I'm very reluctant to change once I have a product that works.

I use to be able to purchase at dog shows, and now it looks like just here. I try to support dog show vendors when I can.

It worked great! I did add heat while my dog was on this product. I did not need to add any oil to wrap her coat.

The perfect solution

My young male Malinois loves to lay on hard surfaces even with nice soft cushy places available. The result is crushed hair spots on his hind legs near his knees. A little Reconstuctor on these spots helps repair the hair and protect it from further damage.
