Because the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier carries a short double coat, grooming focuses on maintaining healthy skin, removing loose undercoat during seasonal changes, and keeping the coat free of environmental buildup without stripping natural oils.
The Teddy Roosevelt Terrier coat is short, dense, and smooth, lying close to the body. The outer coat provides protection against weather and environmental debris while a lighter undercoat supports seasonal insulation.
