The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has a dense, weather-resistant double coat consisting of a harsh, straight outer coat and a soft, insulating undercoat. Coat length is short to medium, lying close to the body without excessive feathering. This coat sheds year-round with heavier seasonal periods when the undercoat releases. A correct Cardigan coat feels clean, firm, and functional — never cottony, greasy, or overly conditioned.

Towel dry, then air dry or use a low-force blow dryer. Ensure the undercoat is completely dry to prevent moisture retention against the skin. A light mist of Maxi Care during drying supports easier brushing.
Cardigans shed year-round with heavier shedding during seasonal coat blows. Increased brushing frequency — not increased bathing — is the most effective management approach. Shedding is a normal, necessary process.

Used the texturizing shampoo on my Border Collie puppy and I loved it! Rinses nicely, smells okay, coat feels really nice after drying. Other shampoos over-soften which isn't correct for the breed. The texturizing shampoo is just right!

Washed a dirty puppy and the cleansing shampoo got him *literally* squeaky clean. First time using a cleansing shampoo and I was impressed. I'm not a fan of the scent, but I cant argue with the results.
